frequently asked questions
Is it the same as "regular" radiofrequency?
No. Conventional radiofrequency heats from the surface, without needles, and is gentler (it's the one listed as Tensamax in the Tiers). The fractional version takes the energy straight into the dermis with micro-needles: it's more intense and also works on texture and scars.
Does it hurt?
With topical anesthesia you feel heat and pressure with each pulse. It's tolerable; bony areas are more sensitive.
Can it be done in sunny weather?
Yes, but with strict sunscreen for the following two weeks and no direct sun. In Medellín that applies all year round.
