Hair recovery therapy in Medellín

Applying the orange mask from the Casmara protocol to a client's face

It's a medical program for hair that is shedding, thinning or losing density. Each session combines several tools on the scalp: ozone steam to prepare the skin, platelet-rich plasma (PRP, obtained from your own blood) and mesotherapy with oligovitamins to nourish the follicle, scalp massage and LED phototherapy. The advanced version (4-session package) adds intradermal ozone. It always starts with a trichoscopy consultation: without knowing the cause of the hair loss, no therapy makes sense.

price

from $260.000

List price per session. The total depends on the number of sessions defined at the consultation.

who it's for

  • Hair shedding more than usual, or hair that looks finer and with less volume.
  • Androgenetic alopecia (hereditary and hormonal hair loss) in early or moderate stages, as a complement to medical treatment.
  • Hair loss after childbirth, an illness, surgery or a stressful period (effluvium), once the cause has been ruled out.
  • Anyone who wants to strengthen their hair before the problem progresses, with a medical diagnosis.

how it works

First, the consultation: medical history, trichoscopy (the scalp and hair are examined under magnification) and, if needed, lab tests to rule out causes such as anemia, thyroid issues or vitamin deficiency. With the diagnosis, the physician builds the plan. In each session the scalp is prepared with ozone steam, a blood sample is drawn and processed to obtain the PRP, the PRP and oligovitamins are applied with micro-injections, and it ends with massage and LED light. If your case also needs medication (topical or oral prescriptions), it goes in the consultation's prescription.

session length
About 60 minutes per session, plus the initial consultation.
downtime
No downtime. The scalp may feel sensitive or look red for a few hours, with small marks from the micro-injections that fade within a day or two. It's recommended not to wash your hair that day and to avoid direct sun, pools and alcohol-based products for 24 hours.
how many sessions
A single session to start, or the advanced 4-session program, usually 3 to 4 weeks apart. Afterwards, the physician may recommend maintenance sessions depending on how your hair responds.
device and product
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) obtained from your own blood, mesotherapy with oligovitamins, steam and intradermal ozone, LED phototherapy.

what to expect

Hair grows slowly, so changes are assessed over months, not days: usually less shedding is noticed first, and more density and thickness after several sessions. Results depend on the cause, how advanced the process is, and whether it's combined with the indicated medical treatment. They are planned at the consultation and not guaranteed.

when it's not recommended

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • Active infection or lesions on the scalp.
  • Clotting disorders or use of anticoagulants.
  • Active autoimmune disease, cancer under treatment or significant anemia, depending on medical assessment.
  • Scarring alopecia, where the follicle no longer exists: explained honestly at the consultation.

General practitioner and aesthetic physician. He sees aesthetics as part of caring for your health: behind every treatment there is a medical assessment that takes into account how you are and what you need. He looks at the whole person — skin and hair also tell how the body is doing — which is why hair diagnosis and treatment are part of his practice. His goal is not to change your essence, but to enhance what makes you feel good, respecting your individuality.

Doing what you want when it is right for you, and telling you honestly when a treatment is not — or when there is a better alternative.

frequently asked questions

Does it hurt?

The micro-injections feel like light pricks; the scalp tolerates it well and topical anesthesia is used when needed. The blood draw is like a routine lab test.

Does it work for any type of hair loss?

No. That's why the trichoscopy consultation comes first: some hair loss needs medication or treating an underlying cause, and in scarring alopecia there is no follicle left to recover. The physician tells you before you pay for a session.

When will I see results?

Less shedding is usually noticed within the first weeks; density takes longer, because new hair grows about a centimeter a month. The proper evaluation is done at 3 or 4 months, with comparative trichoscopy.

What does the consultation include?

Medical history, trichoscopy, lab orders if needed and a prescription. It has its own price (see prices on this page) and doesn't commit you to any session.
